I have been to tons of country concerts. They have got to be one of my favorite things to go to. The people are always nice and you cant help but to have a great time. This time though, was my first time going in the pit! I have had seats before and usually I stand up in the lawn seats, but my friend had an extra pit seat so I couldn’t pass it up! It was so so so much fun! We were about 6 people rows back from the stage and got to be in the middle of all the fun. We did get to witness a girl fight, which I had never seen in real like. They both got kicked out which meant that we got to move up closer. I love Jason Aldean and this was my third time seeing him. I have always thought that he is better in concert then on his albums, which is amazing in its self. I also know this concert wasn't in Reno, but in Wheatland, but I still think it is close enough and holds some amazing concerts!
I would for sure recommend getting pit tickets. Yes you have to stand the whole time, but if it is an artist you really enjoy, you get to be up close and personal. I would also recommend getting there early to get your spot and hold it.

I have never been the type of person who felt the need to gamble. Even when I tuned 18 I didn't go buy a lottery ticket. It just never seemed to be something that I would want to do. But since I am now 21, I thought that this is something I just have to go a try. I did the 25 cent slot machines and then played blackjack with my friend at the table. In blackjack, I was up by 20 dollars, but then of course, I didn't walk away so then I just lost 5 dollars which really wasn't too bad for my first time. We went to the Cal Neva which I had never been to, which was a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be. It was a lot like the other casinos and the blackjack dealer was very nice to me. He kept helping me to learn which numbers to stay on and which to add a new one on to. I just don't really like all the cigarette smoke so I don't like to stay their long. Overall, it was quite an interesting experience which I might do again, but it won't become a daily thing.
I never wanted to stay in state for college. I always wanted to go to a different state because I wanted to finally expereince something new. See new things, meet new people and live in a different climate. Since coming to Reno, I have done quite a lot of things that I would have never been able to do in California. There are still many, many things that I haven't done. I have created a bucket list of things to complete before graduating in May.
When a person is young, their parents usually puts him or her in every single activity possible. Swimming, dance, gymnastics, soccer, the list could go on forever. I was one of those children. Some of these activities like swimming stuck and I have continued to do. While others like soccer, turned out to be a disaster. But others like ballet I wish I had stuck with. When I was about the age of 6, my mom put me in ballet class. I used to walk around the halls of my elementary school on pointe. So a friend's mother told my mom she should put me in ballet. So there I was. Tall for my age and awkward. I stood there in line nervous. My mom had borrowed a leotard from a friend because she didn't want to spend money if I was just going to stop like I had with soccer. It was a classic light pink leo like most little girls had. Once I got in line I realized all the other girls had blue leos on. I was okay with it until this little annoying girl next to me asked about my leo. I being ashamed of my pink leo, immediately said that I was going to get a blue leo. After that class, I decided that I didn't want to continue ballet class. I look back on this moment and am so sad that my mom didn't push me harder to stay in ballet. I had great success with swimming and love it so much, but there's a part of me that wishes I had danced more. When I got to college, I decided to take some dance classes. It became something that I looked forward to. I have taken a ton of dance classes and it is now a new passion of mine. So I have decided since I am a senior at the University of Nevada, Reno, that I wanted to make a bucket list of things that I have yet to do in Reno. Sit back and enjoy my wonderful journey! |
