I love wine. My parents have a second house in Sonoma and always go to wineries. I also went wine tasting for my 21st birthday and had so much fun. It is amazing to me how wine can have so many different tastes but come basically from the same grapes. So when we all finally turned 21 and had a free weekend, we decided to participate! It was a perfect day to walk around downtown. There were clear skies and it was a perfect 72 degrees. We got our adorable wine glasses which mine had pink flowers and other girls got San Francisco themed wine glasses. That was just the beginning of our fun day! We paid $20 to get our glass and also our maps of the places that are participating in the wine walk. We made it to places like Imperial Bar and Lounge, Sierra Tap House, Silver Peak Grill & Taproom, and Chocolate Bar. Of course we had to stop and get some pizza from Blind Onion because we got quite hungry from all the wine we had drank. The Wine Walks are every third Saturday of the month from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. They are a lot of fun if you are able to make the time to spend the day drinking wine. It will for sure be a great time with tons of new memories and great wine! For more Information: http://renoriver.org/features/wine-walk/

My entire life I have been a blonde. I swam so much that even if I wanted to have dark hair, it would have been died back to blonde just from the sun. I have always been afraid that I would look too pale if I died my hair dark, so I just never have. Until now. I absolutley am in love with my new hair! It is so different so it will take some getting used to, but I love it. Every time I walk by a mirror I have to remind myself of my new hair cause I never remember it until I actually see it.
My hair stylist is Anjie Torres and she is amazing!! She seriously listens to everything that I ask for and ALWAYS tells me the truth about what will or won't work! It awesome! I can always trust her to make me look the best I can. She is also an amazing women and we could chat all day long! Go check out her facebook! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Anjies-Chair-a-salon/360883414069453 I love the month of October! I think it is the funniest month of the year. You get to go to the pumpkin patches, have hot cider, go trick or treating and eat candy! The only problem is until this weekend, I had never gone to a pumpkin patch. So for one of my friend's birthday, she wanted to go to the pumpkin patch, so I said of course! We went to Ferrari Farms off of Mill Street. It was the cutest pumpkin patch I had ever seen There was a corn maze for $5 which we did and then tons of pumpkins to pick from. They also have a hay ride, and some animals to look at. There are bouncy houses for smaller children as well. The corn maze took us 4o mintues to get through it and we even cheated and had to follow someone to get out of it. I never realized how difficult corn mazes actually were until I finally went through it. I had so much fun though running around, walking through a real maze! After the corn maze we took tons of pictures in the pumpkin patces and then found a pumpkin. My little and I have this tradition where we give each other pumpkins each year. So I searched and searched for the perfect pumpkin to be able to paint and give to her. Once I finish it I will post my completed project on here! Overall I LOVED the pumpkin patch! It is going to be someting that I will go to every year now!

Since I have barely scratched the surface and because I usually go to the same places over and over. I have decided to use people's recommendations to go try out new places to eat! The first new place I went to is called Laughing Planet. It is a very organic and health place! Everything about it was clean and simple, but still left an impression. There are dinosaurs on every table and it was fun to have a childlike experience for a little bit. There are also cartoon characters that are in boxes hanging around the place. I ordered the Veggie Quesadilla and was not disappointed. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for healthy Mexican food or just a new healthy place to eat at! The menu has everything from kale salads to chili soup to unique burritos. I have never tried kale before and am a little scared to. If I go back I think I might try the kale salad, but I might pick something else first. On the website it says, “Good for your body, great for your wallet, better for the planet.” I think this perfectly sums up the restaurant perfectly which shows that the message is being communicated in an effective way. Everything is open too. They have big open windows that let in tons of light and that also give a nice breeze to the place. I want to start eating healthier and to not just eat junk food. Laughing planet was quick to get my food but is also extremely healthy. Go visit their site: http://laughingplanetcafe.com/home/ |
