Anyone who knows me, knows that I studied abroad in London this past summer. I was absolutley in love with the entire experience. It made me learn things about myself that I always knew, but I finally got to do. I would walk down the street to the Victoria and Albert Museum and just walk around, by myself. I got to travel to places I had never even thought I would go see. I people watched, people from all around the world, people who spoke languages I will never learn, people who have extrodinary stories. I believe that you have to travel, even if it is just to a new city or out of the country. It forces you to open your eyes to learn to appreciate beauty and I mean real, natural beauty of the world. Do it, become broke, but gain something you will never replace!
Make a fabulous bucket list of places you want to see, and then make plans to actually go! Picture from: http://thefreshexchangeblog.com/2014/04/madrid-spain-day-15-end-road/

I love Timeflies! They are a group made up of two guys who put together beats and then rap over them. They started by just putting some of their music on youtube and then they slowly gained a following. I have been following them since their beginning and was so excited when I found out they were going on tour. Wednesday of last week, I found out that they were going to be playing in San Francisco, so I asked a few of my friends if they wanted to come along and we put together a plan. We drove down to Walnut Creek, where my parents live, on Saturday and I got to show them around my beautiful city! Then on Sunday we spent most of the day doing tourist things! And I must say it was one of the most beautiful days in SF that I have ever seen. It was to the point where it was hot and I had to take off my sweater because I was starting to sweat. The concert was at the Regency Ballrooms on Van Ness and was all standing. I don’t really like to stand for the entirety of a concert, but for Timeflies I decided that I would suck it up. I love San Francisco so I usually don’t mind walking around which was good because the walk to the BART station was quite a few blocks. The concert was seriously so amazing! They kept the energy going the entire show and it was so much fun to sing along to all of their songs.
I got my little Kelsey when I was a sophomore and she was a freshman! Then when Kelsey was a sophomore she took Shelby to be her little or my grandlittle. Then this year, we had a huge pledge class so..... I took a little! Her name is Haley and I love her so much and I cannot wait for the future! But I also became a grandbig again and a great grandbig! It was such a fun day and I cannot wait to see our family grow some more!
If you follow my blog, you have seen that I already went to a pumpkin patch earlier this semester. Well I loved it so much that I went to another one! This was a different pumpkin patch so it was still one I had never been to before! This one is called Andelin Farms ** It is a little bit of a far drive from where I live, but it was worth it! There was a huge dirt parking lot and an adorable house surronded by the farms! They still had tons of pumpkins even if it was Halloween! It is a farm that is for sure geared towards children more, but there was plenty of big kid things. Their corne maze had an adorable design for Nevada's 150 years! I had such a fun time! I would totally go again!
I am not a hipster. I guess I have my days where I like to try and dress like a hipster, but I am seriously a far cry from one. There are many places in Reno where it seems like only hipsters are allowed and The Hub was one of them to me. I have stayed away from the hub for a few reasons. One of them being that everyone I know who goes here seems to be hipster and because Luluemon is right next door and that is a dangerous place for my wallet to be.
Finally I decided to take my chances and go to The Hub. I have seriously been missing out! Holy moly was it a good cup of coffee. It isn’t too expensive and they fill it up all the way to the top of the cup. I thought that walking back to my table, I would spill it all. I really like the environment as well. It is loud like a coffee shop, but has a laid back feel to it. I could see myself coming back again. And I didn’t even go into Lululemon! I am sure that won’t last for very long, but atleast I made it through one trip to The Hub! |
